Transcript: an entreprenuer is some who organizes a business. an entreprenuer helps the economy by helping keep a healthy economic climate through federal reserve anti-inflation initiatives. A good entreprenuer... leads with passion & purpose. appreciates his team. provides guidance, but not control. redirects failure towards success. communicates. deals with "bad apples" promotes teamwork. Walt Disney wasn't very good at managing his money.He went bankrupt a couple times before he learned how to manage it. Cinderella became the first hit movie since Snow White and helped to shrink the companies debt in the 1950s to $1,700,000. Walt Disney was a victim of child abuse until he was 14 years old. Many of his movies portray child abuse. Disney's products and ideas gave people more things they wanted to spend money on; which helped boost the economy. Walt Disney cared deeply about the quality of our shared future and how it would come from understanding the secret sauce of innovation. In his words, “There’s really no secret about our approach. We keep moving forward—opening new doors and doing new things—because we’re curious. And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. For 90 years, their outstanding storytelling has enchanted, inspired, amd thrilled audiences everywhere. It is the largest media conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by Walt and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, and today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. When Walt Disney began in 1927 the economy was good. The unemployment rates was 4.5% and the labor force growth was up from the previous year at 1.5%. People on average were making more than the previous years. Approximately 40% of households had telephones & 25% of homes had radios. The U.S. balance trade on goods and services was 1.1 billion dollars.

Instead he joined the Red Cross and was an ambulance driver overseas in France. July 13, 1925, Disney marries one of his first employees, Lillian Bounds. Later they have two daughters, Diane and Sharon. In 1966 Walt Disney was scheduled to have surgery on an old neck injury. Unfortunately there was a cancer tumor on his left lung. November 18 1928 Mickey Mouse Mouse made his screen debut in Steamboat Willie. Which was also the first animated cartoon with sound. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs came out on December 21, 1937. It produced almost 1.5 million dollars during the Great Depression. Disney and his brother Roy had an office in the back of a real estate office. Once he returned Disney started a company called 'Laugh-O-Grams'. Here he started his first cartoon called the Alice Comedies, but eventually fell bankrupt. Disney then moved to Hollywood. Walt Disney By 1945 Disney resigns as President and Roy takes his place. Signs a contract with Columbia Pictures Disney attended many schools through out his life, especially enjoyed McKinley High School because of art programs. Disney and his brother Roy bought their mother a house close by, but unfortunately she dies from a faulty furnace. December 5, 1901 - December 15, 1966 Pinocchio wins an Academy Award for Best Song and Best Score. Walt Disney was born in chicago on December 5, 1901, to Elias and Flora Disney. On December 15 1966 Disney died from lung cancer, only ten days after his 65th birthday.
