Transcript: This particular tool has been around for a little bit over a year! How does it work? The iPad mini 2 is an interactive technology that is able to connect to the internet with options to download many varieties of applications. Predecessors Instead of using paper, pencil, and a mentor text, students are using the iPads to go on an application that will allow them to practice certain lessons. History Application In the past, students had to use the computers at a designated station which limited them from working as partners or groups. They are now able to move around the classroom to find a comfortable place to do their work. Disadvantages Instead of teachers supervising every action that is taken on the computers, they are able to download specific applications that will be beneficial to the students as well as limiting inappropriate usage of the iPad. One thing I found inconvenient is that students are not allowed to take these home due to limited number of iPads versus the students we have. Implementation Since it is technology, students absolutely love working on the iPads, making their learning more engaging and fun. Grant Presentation Benefits
