Transcript: Rookie Being around the kids I babysat made me want to be around other kids more often I realized I wanted to be around kids for the rest of my life. I wanted a career with kids Also, I volunteered at a local elementary school with a kindergarten teacher and it made me realize I love the little ones! Video About Me Teaching Presentation Discovering what I love Lauren Duncan Babysat for many different families since middle school Babysat kids of all ages Never knew what I wanted to do until I started babysitting these kids (see photo) my sophomore year of high school The grade level I want to teach is preschool. They are fun to be around and are energetic. I'm sure they will be a handful sometimes but I know when I'm doing something that I love I will be able to put up with anything that comes my way! Someday, I might continue my education and get my bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and then I could teach grades K-3. But for now, I want to work with the three year olds and younger! My Education Have two older brothers Parents are divorced Have a Gordon Setter dog Love playing softball and running Graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School Went to the University of Kentucky for my freshman year of college Too expensive, so I currently go to Columbus State Community College Switched my major three different times before deciding on Early Childhood Getting a degree in Early Childhood education Wanting to Teach Websites This is an example of a class room set up that I love. Its set up very nicely for the children to be able to know where everything is located but also educational and useful. Our classroom will look somewhat like this set up but will not have all the same toys and carpets that this room has. This is probably one of my favorite Blogs I have ran across because it has helpful information to help me improve the environment for the children to learn to the best that they can with me and also many other reasons. If you allow your children to play on the computer for a little amount of time and want them to be playing some children games this is the site for you!
