Transcript: Patient Portal Utilization Meaningful use is using certified electronic health record (EHR) technology to: Improve quality, safety, efficiency, and reduce health disparities Engage patients and family Improve care coordination, and population and public health Maintain privacy and security of patient health information Meaningful use sets specific objectives that eligible professionals (EPs) and hospitals must achieve to qualify for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Incentive Programs. Two metrics: Patient Electronic Access 1: 50% target Measure 1: More than 50 percent of all unique patients seen by the EP during the EHR reporting period are provided timely access to view online, download, and transmit to a third party their health information subject to the EP's discretion to withhold certain information. Transcript: You play as an unnamed test subject who must go through increasingly challenging test chambers using your Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, or your portal gun. The plot is set by your setting and the only other character you meet in the game, GLaDOS. You are being tested by a organization called Aperture Science, who want to see how you fare during these tests. GLaDOS is a computer who guides and watches you throughout your testing sequence. Evenetually you learn that she (yes, the computer is a girl) is mad and aims to kill you after the testing is over. Throughout testing, GLaDOS goes through a list of dry yet funny quotes, such as: "Cake, and greif counseling, will be available at the end of the testing period." You escape her fiery clutches (literally) and make your way through the bowels of Aperture Science, using everything you learned about portals from the testing. The gameplay is very fun. Portals are shot out of your portal gun onto the walls, ceiling, or floor of the testing chamber. Whatever goes through one portal comes out the other, maintaining speed and direction. While going through the 19 testing chambers, you must use your wits to fling yourself across gaps, set weighted cubes on large red buttons, and aviod cute but deadly turrets. The entire game is powered by the Source engine, which is used in many Valve games, including Left 4 Dead and Half Life 2. The graphics are amazing, but it takes a powerful computer to run everything smoothly. The sound design is also very good. You can hear every bump, scrape, or plink that goes on during the testing. On a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being a flawless game or an A+ and a 1 being little more than a rock, I give this game a 95. It has even been awarded for it's ending song "And then there will be cake." "Still Alive," To sum up, Portal is and incredible game that is a lot of fun to play. It is by far the most memorable game I have ever played. By Jon Hanson which is sung by the voice actor who played GLaDOS. Developed by Valve, this mind-bending puzzle/platformer instantly became a hit in 2007.
