Type: Checking account Expected rate of return: 0% profit Minimum Investment Required: $100 My interest was drawn to the Wachovia Bank Checking Account as an investment because of the convenience. Unlike my other investments, one can withdraw their money at their will. However, this account will earn no money and fees may apply. The Company operates under the Panera Bread, Saint Louis Bread Co. and Paradise Bakery & Café trademark names. The Company operates in three business segments: Company bakery-cafe operations, franchise operations and fresh dough operations." Type: Stock Expected rate of return: 7.23% profit Minimum required investment: $116.85 My interest was first drawn to this stock from reading Michael Brush's article on MSN, "19 Solid Stocks On Sale". Brush recomends Panera Bread under his "retail stocks" column. Panera Bread is a successful coorperation with franchises around the nation. The stock price is currently down, but is expected to rise again soon. Now would be the perfect opportunity to purchase a Panera Bread stock. Type: Certificate of Deposit Expected rate of return: 1.01% profit Minimum Investment Required: $5, 000 I choose this investment because it is a safe investment that is insured by the FDIC. The return is small, but the maturity time is short at only 33 months. Type: Stock Expected rate of return: 47.42% Minimum required investment: $47.91 I thought the Ulthra Pertroleum Stock would be a good investment because of the ever-increasing need for oil. Transcript: Bonds Sources I am interested in investing with Apple Inc. because they are a very popular and successful company. Though at the beginning when Steve Jobs started the company, they were struggling with making PCs and going against Bill Gates. But they rose up with investing in a computer model with an appeal design and furthered it to creating the ipod, the itouch and now the very popular iphone. Over the years with cellphones developing their sales have increased with creating the iphone and adding more additions especially stock increasing with the development of the iphone 6. They would be a good company to invest ideas for new technology for people to use and enjoy. Name of company or investment: Apple Inc. They allow diversification to invest in multiple securities and and the fund is tracked by professionals. They even allow you to handle the mutual bonds on your own or ask for assistance and allow a certain type of fund meeting your needs. They have a no-load policy allowing you to pay a low price mutual fund. Vanguard seems to want to help their customers in anyway and provide an easy, cost-efficient way to do it. Type of investment: Mutual Bonds Risk level: Moderate Expected rate of return: 6.23% Minimum required investment: $3,000 Mutual Bond I would be interested in investing with WisdomTree because they are a large provider with ETF and providing fixed international income. The international income would benefit people by diversification would enable lower management fees and would be open all day to be invested with. Though while this set-up won't stop investment losses, it will be able to allow ETFs to be tax-efficient and able to minimize capital gains distributions. WisdomTree wants to liquify investment so it'd be easy to take investment out and to hold diverse locations of investment to best handle ETF. They have a fixed interest rate, meaning the investor knows how much interest will be earned on the loan since the rate will not change. Points International Ltd. engages in the business of providing web-based solutions to the loyalty program industry. It focuses on reward currency management, providing multiple e-Commerce and technology solutions and managing Points.com, the consumer rewards management platform. The company was founded by Christopher J. D. Barnard and Robert T. MacLean in February 2000 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada. I am interested in this company because I am looking for a moderate rate of return to a smaller amount of investments. The chart shows multiple fluctuations and therefore, it is a moderate risk. Due to the graph, I was able to see the very steady incline at the end, but it is off of 5 years. The company doesn’t go back that far and it is new. It could have some serious falls, because after all, it is gas, but I will risk that because of the good looking percentage/earnings today. Rate of Return: $43.26 Minimum Required Investment $22.64 Low Risk: Navy Federal Bank (IRA) Phone 1(732)524-0400 Johnson & Johnson One Johnson & Johnson Plaza New Brunswick, New Jersey 08933 Stock: A share of ownership in a corporation that represents a claim on a portion of that company's earnings. Share of ownership in a single company. Makes the most money over a long period of time. If company fails, you lose all your money. An aggressive investment Johnson & Johnson operates as an investment holding company with interests in health care products. It engages in research and development, manufacture and sale of personal care hygienic products, pharmaceuticals and surgical equipments. The company, through its subsidiaries operates in three business segments: Consumer, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices and Diagnostics. The Consumer segment includes a range of products used in the baby care, skin care, oral care, wound care and women's health care fields, as well as nutritional and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, and wellness and prevention platforms. I am interested in this investment due to the involvement the company is in with other pharmaceutical companies. They are the most known baby-item-selling company there is in America. Johnson and Johnson sells multiple things such as cleaning products, soaps, shampoos, wipes, etc. Many people have bought these products and they continue to improve in their innovation of cosmetic and cleaning supplies. Since they continue, the more purchases with skyrocket the amount they earn. I would then earn more of a rate of return and Percentage/Earnings. Even though it falls a lot, it usually come back up pretty quickly. Minimum required dollar: $89.90 Rate of return: $23.26 Phone: 1-888-842-6328 IRA: An account that allows the depositor to set aside a portion of income each year before taxes are paid on it. With an IRA (Individual Retirement Arrangement), you choose the plan that's right for you. The links below will help you with your selection. Depending on your choice, you may be able to take a tax deduction for Traditional IRA contributions, or withdraw the earnings on a Roth IRA tax free. Our online features make it easy to establish an IRA, name your beneficiary(ies), and view and manage your account. I am interested in this investment because when I get older, I can put parts of my income into a savings account. The Navy Federal bank is only allowed by the military employees. I am a daughter of one, therefore I can use it, which is very fortunate. The rate of return is low, and there is not minimum investment. There is a very low risk to this because of the military/government only rules by them. They also offer points for earnings and savings. Rate of Return: 0.25% No minimum investment, but must maintain a daily balance of $2,500 to earn dividends.
