Transcript: COFFEE ACCESS & DEPENDANCE AT GATech First-year Experience students accessibility to mealswipe coffee on campus being skewed Freshmen on West Campus have better access to mealswipe coffee than on East Campus First years having an issue with over-consumption of coffee PROBLEM PROBLEM & BACKGROUND Starbucks in West village is the only coffee place that takes mealswipes outside the GT dining halls Since 2017, the Starbucks at West Village has been taking meal-swipes Statistics on coffee consumption in college students -54% of Americans older than 18 drink coffee daily. -University of Kentucky study showed that 78% of first-year students in college consume more coffee than the recommended caffeine intake per day. The Starbucks at Clough Commons is positioned at a central location on campus but does not take mealswipes. Transcript: This is a couple of sentences combining a rewritten thesis statement and something to think about for the audience. Getting them cited can be frustrating, but it's really just plugging what information we have into the formulas. Topic 1 from the Outline You will have three bullet points for each slide. They will each be a brief sentence summing up the evidence you got in your research. You will make a notecard for each bullet point with your quotes, paraphrases, or summaries from your research. Not everything you say will be on the Prezi. Topic 5 from the Outline (THIS IS YOUR LAST SLIDE, SO YOU SHOULD NOW TAKE THE TIME TO "PRESENT" TO YOURSELF TO MAKE SURE THE SLIDES ARE IN THE ORDER YOU INTENDED. Computer Science @ GATECH

Transcript: So far, from what ive seen, most students would take the course needed for comp sci either there first and second year or, would attend another college and then transfer to GA TECH to have an easier workload. Tech offers multiple math placement exams which one would take for various reasons including : A non suitable SAT score, or a credit was not transferred from another college / high school. If the student passes they earn the credit for that course. Freshman year No specific course mentioned but for 3 credits hours it is said to be around $2916. Not much info was given on the specific financial costs of the course, however there is a prep course for the math classes listed that runs at $1250. This course provides a backbone to what you would be learning in the courses you would take soon. The only information on a college math class per hour cost was a Distance Calculus program used by high school students. Current College algebra textbook costs run from Sub $100 too over $160. Smart shoppers however would look for websites offering good deals such as half.com, eBay, or pdf source websites. I havent done too much research into the scholarships i qualify for but i plan on enlisting in the military and recieving the G.I bill to help cover the costs of college. This course requires a strong background in calculus, an introductory understanding of statistics and a course of Linear algebra is recommended. While most of them are not used by average programmers, Tech still aspires to have VERY strong math students involved in the computer science curriculum. I have experience in the programming world i can safely say that the math courses Tech is requiring you to take, are not needed unless you want to go into 3d rendering modeling, or possibly intense design fields. Coding takes relatively little math other than algebra and MAYBE some basic trig or geometry. Even without the degree in comp sci, programmers can start @$60,000 and some who are certified in a certain language can start around six-figures! The degree just helps you get into management and higher positions in the future. For COMP SCI at Tech a student could take any math course they wanted at first and eventually go on to take more before they are fully eligible to be enrolled in the program. Many start with STAT as it is easier then move on calculus then sometimes linear algebra. Stat reasoning might be somewhat related to statistics taken at take. I plan on transferring to Tech as either a mechanical engineer or Computational mechanic so i would avoid having to take some of the course as they are not necessary at all. But if i had to i would end up taking Differential Calc first since im already enrolled in regular Calc here at DHS. I took AMDM this year to help regain a half credit from my freshman year of High school because of a fail i had 2nd semester in a course no longer offered here.
