Transcript: Hope Lodge: provides a place to stay for cancer patients who have to travel to recieve treatment. Road To Recovery: provides rides to those who need them to get to their doctors appointment. Look Good...Feel Better: equips those going through the physical changes of cancer to learn how to feel beautiful. Reach To Recovery: pairs a cancer patient with a survivor to mentor them through the difficult time. Scholarships: offer scholarship opportunites to those who have survived cancer. Bags lit in honor or in memory of someone. Founded in Tacoma, Washington in the mid 1980's by Dr. Gordy Klatt. GPS TV Treestand Deep Fryers Crockpots 5,000 communitie in the United States and communities in 20 other countries participate in Relay. Pancake and Sausage Dinners Sandwich Sale Selling Candy at Relay 50/50's Raffle tickets Relay For Life Survivors Lap Fundraisers: Today, more than 3.5 people participate anually. Movies were the main theme of last years relay event. Each team created their own unique design for a booth that represented thier idea of movies. Some chose to focus on a singular movie, while others did a theater theme. Movies A lap around the track honoring all of those who have won the battle against cancer. Activities Prizes Raffled Off: Relay For Life Fundraising Glen Richey/O'Shanter Team Dedicated Luminaria Miss Relay: Men dressed up like women and went around raising money in hopes of being named "Miss Relay" Pizza Eating Contest: A local pizza place held a pizza eating contest. Beaded Necklaces: For a small fee, anyone could purchase a plastic necklace and get one bead for every trip around the track they completed. Talent Show: Local talents were encouraged to perform for the audience, and bands played at night.

A Chance to Remember Hundreds of luminarias lit to remember those who faced cancer Ceremony of light symbolizes the hope and perseverance we continue to fight. A Chance to Fight Back Every dollar, every person, every step all helps to fight against cancer. Take this chance to make a difference! Millions of people raise money to help prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from the disease. Donations A community gathering where everyone can participate!
