In fact, they don't have any organelles besides hemoglobins. This was intersting because all other cells have these things but red blood cells do not. Transcript: Red blood cells are known to transport oxygen throughout the body. But what about the others? White Blood Cells are the other cells that fight off pathogens and ingest bacteria. Platelets are smaller pieces of large cells that pinch off in the bone marrow. They help stop excessive bleeding and prevent blood clotting. Plasma is the main fluid in blood that makes the blood balanced and flow well throughout the body. Work Experience Hemoglobin is what I use as a big help to carry oxygen throughout the whole body. It is a protein that binds to oxygen as it diffuses into the cells. This makes it a lot easier to go through circulation. I was born in the bone marrow on my human. I now live in blood vessels like arteries, veins, and capillaries throughout the body and heart. Shared a Photo Yes, I do live with these things. I love them so much! Has worked as a blood cell that carries oxygenated blood throughout the body and brings de-oxygenated blood back to the heart to get oxygen from the alveoli in lungs again. I am circulated through two different paths: Pulmonary Circulation Systemic Circulation Pulmonary Circulation- I return to the heart (on the right side) with low oxygen. I then travel to the lungs through capillaries and the carbon dioxide in me can be replaced with wonderful oxygen. I then flow into the left side of the heart which begins the next path.. Systemic Circulation- I am now pumped out into the body with my oxygenated blood from the left side of the heart. After making my way through the body, I go back into the pulmonary circulation again. For all that must know, yes, I have had a hard time lately. The body I am providing for has had trouble with heart attacks which means that blood flow gets clogged up a lot and has damaged the heart. Now, it's harder for his heart to push me enough to make it all the way through the body. Fortunately, the body is taking some kind of medication that help prevent these clots but I thought I would let you all know! Transcript: Comparison 'Red Blood Cell and Animal Cell' -A single drop of blood contains millions of red blood cells which are constantly traveling through your body delivering oxygen and removing waste. -Red blood cells are red only because they contain a protein chemical which is called hemoglobin is bright red in color. -As blood passes through the lungs, oxygen molecules attach to the hemoglobin. -As the blood passes through the body's tissue, the hemoglobin releases oxygen to the cell. -Over time, red blood cell dies. Both: - Have 'A' or 'B' antigens resulting in blood typing 'A', 'B', 'O', or 'AB'. 1. They are located in circulatory system. This includes veins, arteries, and capillaries. 2.
