Transcript: The purpose of the Engineering Design Process is come up with a solution that best fits the criteria of it. This is the step where you make the prototype for the process This is the step where we redesign the project to make it better or to work if it didn't work What is it? The Engineering Design Process is a series of steps that engineers follow to come up with a solution to a problem. Many times the solution involves designing a product (like a machine or computer code) that meets certain criteria and/or accomplishes a certain task. (http://www.sciencebuddies.org/engineering-design-process/engineering-design-process-steps.shtml) By: Autumn Lasinski & Bailey Spillane This step helps you bring up ideas about the project. You also need to do research about the problem. Pick the best solution In this step, you need to generate ideas to help put the project/experiment into motion. Develop a design proposal This is the step where we test the prototype we've built Criteria/Constrants Build a model or prototype Redesign Brainstorm/Research Identify the Problem The Purpose This step is where you pick the best solution out of the ideas you came up with. Generate Ideas The process begins when you start asking questions about the problems you are observing. This step is the process of designing the proposal for the project Test and Evaluate Engineering Design Presentation This step is to help you know what you need to follow and what you need to limit.
