Transcript: Preliminary design options Recommendation for Botany GTP Water stream Current plant layout Thank you for your attention The proposed installation of catalytic oxidizer and membrane bioreactor are a feasible and beneficial toward the overall performance of the plant. Improvement such as: reduce footprint lower maintenance cost process simplification Economical evaluation of MBR & CO From investigation and discussion we have determine that there are three equipment that could be replace in order to improve the overall performance of the groundwater treatment plant. The units are : Thermal oxidizer Biological Aerated Filter Granular Activated Carbon Multi-criteria analysis Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat of proposed unit Botany groundwater treatment plant The SWOT analysis was done for all the available options in order to help evaluate or assess which design is more feasible. From all the given option the Membrane bioreactor and Catalytic oxidizer was chosen base on their swot, which are given below. Botany Groundwater treatment plant Gas stream The aim of this proposal is to improve the existing ground water treatment plant by investigate: technical feasibility environmental impact economic viability Multi-criteria analysis is an evaluation base on the score by weighting different aspect of the design which are: Removal efficiency & energy consumption cost footprint time variable process complexity The analysis done for both catalytic oxidizer and membrane bioreactor is given below.

Transcript: Presented by Maia Malone and Taryn Gallagher for Twenty-first century classroom Place your logo here Designing the Classroom Seating Seating The seats that are in the classroom now aren't comfortable at all. The grey chair will be the regular chair instead of the metal chairs. The red stoll will go with the standing desks. The grey chairs and much more comfortable than metal and we think that the wheely chairs are good to have because then students can move around. The red stools aren't super comfortable, but they are better than the metal and they give a nice pop of color which is good to have in the classroom. At the group tables, we would just have the normal black wheely chairs since they are still comfortable and we aren't at the tables often. Teacher Chair Teacher Chair For the teachers furniture, we didn't want to pick for her. We asked what Mrs. Freeman wanted to have since she is the one teaching and she stays at her desk a lot of the time. Walls Walls The wall color is one of the main problems in the fusion room. The walls right now understimulate the brains of the students, according to research, the coloring in the classroom should't have too much color either because that can overstimulate brains. There has to be a balance between bland walls and colorful walls. Also, our research said that blue is a good color to have because it is soothing, relaxing, and students have a better chance to remember what they learn. That is why we chose blue to have at the front and back of the classroom and taupe on the sides. We will have plants also so we get a pop of color and plants can improve grades, behavior and everyone has better feelings. Smartboard/Storage Smartboard/Storage Instead of a whiteboard which can sometimes get messy, we think that a smartboard would be nice to have in the classroom. There are no need for markers and it is like a T-V. We would also have a small whiteboard next to it. Also, instead of having tons of cabinets, we could have one storage space that has empty spots so we put baskets in them. Tables Tables Sometimes when we are watching a video in class, people who are shorter and sit in the back can't see. The standing desks in the back row will help the people in the back see the board. The other tables will fit together to form an oval for the fronnt row of tables. Teacher Desk Teacher Desk The desk that the teachers have now don't have enough storage, that is why they need cabinets behind them. This desk has enough storage that we don't need to add in a giant storage area behind the teacher. Funding Funding We will fund our design with a bake sale or a Go Fund Me page. Prices- $2211.84 for 16 (chairs) $108.99 for 1 (teacher chair) $543.84 for 16 (standing desk stool) $272-308 for 1 (teacher desk) $6,999 for 1 (smartboard-we might just do a T-V) $3,759.20 for 16 (standing desks) $87.88 for 4 gallons (blue paint) $95.92 for 4 gallons (taupe paint) $199.99 for 1 (storage) _____________________________________________ Overall estimate: $7,279.66 (without smartboard) $14,278.66 (with smartboard) Final Design Final Design
