All the steps in the order of operations help you if you solve them in the right way. A in PEMDAS o t The A in PEMDAS is addition and it is the fifth step in the order of operations. Addition is when you find the sum of two or more numbers. It is the Aunt in the acrostic. If the division comes to the left of the multiplication than you do the division first, but other than that do the multiplication third. It is the My in the in the acrostic. Multiplication is this sign: The E in PEMDAS stands for exponents. The exponents are the small rised numbers that are to the base numbers. The E is the order of operation that comes second. It is the word Excuse in the acrostic.
