Nowadays these tools are being reshaped and adapt to the classroom context, they seem to have a lot acceptance and many teachers are using them as strategies to build up student`s knowledge. First of all drama as a tool for the classroom is something that children like to get involved with and it only take some skills from the teacher to organized and see how children could learn as they actively are getting involved in. You might be wondering what they could learn from acting? Well they find out that they need to share and contribute to the whole team if they want to reach the goal it is an opportunity to give up things and take responsibility for what is assigned to them. It is also a change to learn new words, phrases or sentences. More over shy children learn to express themselves and are able to face the public in a safety environment. Drama definitely would be of great help particularly to visual kids. Secondly most people love stories and they have been used since ancient times to past on information from generation to generation. Stories are easy to remember and they can be used to motivate children in developing their reading or writing skills. For example a teacher could bring a story to the class, either the teacher or a student cold read the story then they could look into the dictionary for new words, or could focus on verbal tenses or sentence structure. Students can be given pictures and write or paint their stories. What do student get out of it? Well they do develop writing, reading, drawing and listening skills in a creative way. Storytelling definitely would be of great help in the context of learning a foreign language; they could get a lot of input by simply listening to stories. Thirdly teachers need to take into account the different age various levels. Some children prefer drama rather than reading a story or vice versa therefore often feel more comfortable working in either context. Skilful teachers need to find ways to keep balance in the classroom. In conclusion, children can be greatly benefited from drama class as well as storytelling. Not only lean knowledge but also discover how to work and adjust with others kids. Beside this they become emotionally mature and self-confident. General aims: to learn about shape poems.
