They have been going into the most dangarous parts of Africa to document and share the story of these children and familys to spread the word. Now, Invisible Children is raising up 2 million dollers to try to build these radio towers to help these villiages be able to communicate with each others. It will allow the communities to let eachother know when there is danger, giving them time to try to escape. They are also trying to raise enough money for a rehabilatation center and a school for all the kids that survived the abduction and escaped. To achieve this, Invisible Children is selling bracelets, t-shirts, and different items. And recently, Invisible Children went to the U.S Government to get them to help try and end this slavery and got Obama to send in some American troops to clear out the forest. Conclusion Where all thinking "why the hell isn't anybody just killing this man then?" But its not that simple. At first, the African Government had tried to make a peace treaty with Joseph Kony 5 different times, and each time he wouldn't show up, he just comes back stronger, killing more people than he had ever before. But bringing him to justice isn't going to end it all. He has followers. Men who help him and men who wont let him be the end of this slavery. And we don't even know who these men are. But making it more difficult, this slavery has been going on for 25 years, and half the world barely knows about it. Half the world barely even cares to know about it. Because of this man.. & Children are being abudcted http://www.irinnews.org/IndepthMain.aspx?IndepthId=24&ReportId=66280 http://www.hrw.org/news/2011/12/02/dr-congo-rein-security-forces Sources D.R of the Congo The Hardships And turned into child soldiers By In South Central Africa children ages 9-16 are the prey for being abducted. They're small enough to be able to sneek into the house without anybody noticing, but old enough to learn and handle a gun. Also, children are more vunrable, easier to capture, and easily brainwashed into doing horrible things. Child Slavery http://www.child-soldiers.org/childsoldiers/some-facts (cc) photo by jimmyharris on Flickr In fear of this... (cc) photo by Franco Folini on Flickr Uganda The LRA What's this about? Wtf? What are we doing to help? Ola Mujanni Being turned into these soldiers and killing people are not the only hardships these kids face. Think of yourself being abducted, what would you have done? Tried to escape right? But that's not as smart of an idea as it seems. If you don't obey, you don't get killed. At least not right away. They torture you in every way possible, making you wish you where dead. Cutting off your lips, taking out your eye, anything. But when finally, you're no use to them, you will be killed infront of those closest to you. And being that person watching, you're not allowed to cry, not allowed to talk, not allowed to do anything but watch. Then they send you out to kill your own family, friends, and neighbors.
